Aims and Objectives

Dr. A.F.M. Saiful Amin
Two issues per year (June issue and December issue)

The Journal of Civil Engineering (JCE) is the flagship journal of the Civil Engineering Division, The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). The Journal aims at providing an emerging channel for publication of original research so that the engineers can exchange and share professional, technical and academic knowledge on any aspect of Civil Engineering discipline,  e.g. environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering and water resources engineering. Original works related to surveying technology are also welcome (see Scope for details).
As the oldest forum (see History for details) in Bangladesh for publishing original research work in the field of civil engineering, the Journal also aims to stand as an archival record of the technical advances of the Institution and the profession, in general. Furthermore, over the years researchers and professional engineers have enriched the knowledge archive of this Journal with various country specific original information that possess relevance and application, particularly in Bangladesh context. As per the constitution and by-laws of the Institution, the Editorial Board is responsible to set the policies governing the Journal. Papers, companion papers, technical notes, discussion/ closure and errata are published in the JCE, IEB. Authors need not be the members of IEB to submit material to the journals.

Engineers from all branches of Civil Engineering discipline e.g. Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Transportation Engineering; Surveyors, Mechanicians, Engineers having interest in Engineering/ Applied Mechanics.
